Under intense public pressure, the then Prime Minister including family members fled the country on August 5, 2024. On August 8, 2024, as per the people's demand Dr. Muhammad Yunus was appointed chief Adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh.

The July uprising was a turning point, highlighting the people's frustration with oppression and antarctic rule. It demonstrated the power of unity and people's determination for justice and democratic reforms in Bangladesh.
